مُسَاعَدَة، مِنْ فَضْلِك

Hajj packing — additions

Four items recurring in 2024 pilgrim accounts that the current Hajj packing list doesn't include.

Heat & weather

Hajj packing list

  • Cooling towel / neck gaiter
Soak in water, wear at Arafat & jamarat. Dries in 20 minutes, soak again. Single most impactful heat tool after umbrella.
  • Thermal mylar emergency blanket
Muzdalifah pre-dawn is surprisingly cold. Reflective layer also doubles as ground protection during sleep.
  • USB-C fan with Saudi plug adapter
Mina tents are A/C but power cuts during peak. A small clip-on fan saves a sleepless night.
  • Pre-counted pebble pouch (49 + 21)
Drawstring pouch with 49 numbered pebbles for tashreeq, 21 separated for day 10 Aqabah. Saves you counting in the dark at Muzdalifah.
  • White umbrella (existing)
The single most impactful thing you can do for heat. Required, not optional.
  • Whistle for crowd separation (existing)
Carries further than your voice. Helpful when you lose your group.
