Separated from the group?
The hill is visible from almost anywhere. Tap what you can see.
From Jabal al-Rahmah
The hill sits in the centre of the plain. Camps surround it on all sides. Climb the lower slopes — from there you can scan the whole plain for your group's flag. Once you spot it, walk directly. If sunset is near, prioritise being inside the boundary over finding the exact camp.
From Namirah Masjid
You're at the northwest corner of Arafat. The hill is roughly south-east from here, visible in the distance. Walk toward it through the camps. If you can hear the Hajj khutbah being broadcast, you're close to the mosque speakers.
From a Metro station
The three Arafat stations run west to east along the south edge. Arafat 1 is closest to Wadi 'Uranah (the SW boundary). Arafat 3 is closest to the Muzdalifah exit. The hill is north of the central station (Arafat 2).
From a boundary sign
You're at the edge — walk back toward the hill. Wuquf is valid only inside the marked boundary. If sunset is approaching and you're outside, stay where you can re-enter quickly. Even a moment inside the boundary fulfils the rukn.
