Separated — how to regroup
Muzdalifah is open and dark. Tap what you can see.
From Mash'ar al-Haram
The monument sits near the east end of Muzdalifah, closer to Arafat. Open sleeping areas spread west from here. The pebble-collection ground is centrally located. If your group set a meeting point near a recognisable landmark, use this to triangulate.
From a Metro station
The three Muzdalifah stations run west to east: Muzd. 1, 2, 3. Muzd. 3 is closest to Mash'ar al-Haram and the Arafat exit. Muzd. 1 is closest to the Mina exit. Use the station name on the sign to know which end you're at.
From the boundary
Stay inside the boundary — the west edge is the Wadi Muhassir, which is not part of Muzdalifah (do not sleep there). The east edge borders Arafat. North and south edges are roads. Walk parallel to the boundary back toward the open sleeping area.
When it's too dark
Walk toward any illuminated structure — the Mash'ar al-Haram and the Metro stations are lit at night. Saudi crowd-management staff also use high-vis lighting. Once at a Metro station you can read its name and orient from there.
